Welcome back to the Squint podcast! Today we are joined by Dr. Martin Moore-Ede. For over 40 years, Dr. Martin Moore-Ede has been a leading expert on circadian clocks and the health impacts of light exposure at night. During his over twenty years as a professor at Harvard Medical School, he led the team that identified the brain’s biological clock, the suprachiasmatic nucleus, revealing how light synchronizes sleep-wake cycles. He founded the Circadian Lighting Research Center in 2010 where he has pioneered health-optimized, circadian friendly LED lights based on groundbreaking research. He has over 180 scientific publications and 10 books—including his latest, The Light Doctor: Using Light to Boost Health, Improve Sleep, and Live Longer. At Squint, we love simple, impactful solutions that lead to better health.  Dr. Moore-Ede’s extensive research and knowledge is just that. Join us for a deeper dive in how our light environment shapes our health.

Welcome back to the Squint Podcast!
It’s a good thing you’re here today because we have an extremely distinguished guest.  His name is Dr. Michael Hamblin, world-renowned scientist and photobiomodulation expert. What does that mean?  It means that when it comes to understanding light, specifically the benefits of red and infrared light, Michael is the best in the world – that’s not an exaggeration.  In fact, Dr. Hamblin is the world’s authority on photobiomodulation.
Michael was an associate professor of dermatology at Harvard Medical School for 25 years. He is editor in chief of photobiomodulation, photomedicine, and laser surgery.  He has published over 850 peer reviewed articles on the subject of photobiomodulation. He holds ten patents. He has authored and edited more than 40 textbooks on photodynamic therapy, photomedicine, and nanomedicine.  In fact, when people talk about red and infrared light, they mention Mike. He has over 120,000 citations.  He’s that good.  And he’s here on the Squint Podcast.

Welcome to the Squint Podcast!
Today we are so excited to welcome Dr. Sara Pugh. Sara has a degree in biochemistry and genetics, as well as a PhD in molecular mechanisms and biophysics. Let's just say she's a hardcore scientist in both biochemistry and biophysics and has more recently turned her attention to quantum biology and quantum physics. In fact, she's a board-certified quantum biology practitioner. In short, Sara is taking a closer look at so many areas of science that matter to us. She's using her knowledge to better understand how our bodies actually work. She's looking at issues that really matter to us, like hormones, metabolism, sleep, anxiety, and just about everything that affects our life every day. We're so lucky to welcome Sara to the show.
